Tensions in the trial of Gërdec/ Mediu demands re-examination, family members accuse the former minister

There were tensions and clashes in today's session for the "Gërdeci" file in the Special Court.

It is reported that there were numerous debates between the families of the victims of the Gërdec tragedy and the former minister Fatmir Mediu.

The latter said in the session that we are dealing with a political process, as he is being asked to become a "scapegoat".

But on the other hand, the family members have accused Mediu of being a murderer and criminal, accusing the prosecutors of not bringing charges against Mediu.

The defense side of the former minister has asked for a new expert report, since the previous one according to them was one-sided.

But the prosecutor of the case stated that there is no reason to exclude the experts from the hearing. /CNA
