The Director General of Customs Besmir Beja announced in a press conference that, after contacts with the counterpart structures of North Macedonia, an agreement has been reached to facilitate the passage of vehicles at the Bllata border crossing.

From tomorrow, from 12:00 to 22:00, loaded trucks and trailers will be able to pass every day, while unloaded trucks can pass 24 hours a day.

According to the agreement, the passage of products of animal origin and petroleum products is not allowed at this point; these must be sent through Kosovo.

The Customs Directorate will inform about any changes or further facilities.

"The General Directorate of Customs and its structures have handled the situation very carefully.

In order not to hinder the completion of customs formalities based on alternative means of transport, the necessary contacts have been made with the counterpart structures of North Macedonia and full understanding has been found on their part in helping to resolve this issue.

The Macedonian side has made it possible for loaded trucks and trailers to pass through the Bllata checkpoint from tomorrow 12:00 to 22:00 for each day thereafter. Unloaded trucks can pass through for 24 hours.

Note that at this point the Macedonian side does not allow the passage of products of animal origin or petroleum products.

These categories must pass through Kosovo.
