Albanians do not know the role and function of municipal councils

56.5% of Albanians do not know who the members of the municipal council are and what their function is. When presented with an untrue statement: "The municipal council consists of the mayor's advisers" from Barometer in Euronews Albania, more than half did not disagree with this statement, 28.9% agreed, 21.1% did not know and 6.5 were neutral .

Meanwhile, 43.5% have opposed this statement, since the municipal council is not made up of personal advisers of the mayor, but of members who are elected by vote.

Despite the fact that the municipal council is voted to serve and protect the interests of the citizens, there is almost no interaction with them.

91.1% of Albanians have never met a municipal councilor as a community for any concern.

85.7% have not even met individually with a councilor of the municipality for any concern.

95.3% have never participated in any municipal council meeting.

While 67.7% do not know any member of the municipal council.
