The Alliance for the Protection of the Theater reacted after the activist Adriana Kalaja was criminally prosecuted after the protests in front of the Tirana Municipality.

In a statement of the Alliance for the Protection of the Theatre, it is emphasized that Adriana Kalaja has intervened to prevent the protest from escalating.

The reaction underlines the fact that no measures have been taken against the undocumented civilians who kidnap the protesters.

The Alliance for the Protection of the Theater has called on the State Police to decriminalize its conscience and end as soon as possible the protection against the crimes committed against the citizens.

Once again, the State Police with its next act, as a vassal of the mafia power, showed that it is immersed in the mire of crime, when the game is played for the most profitable interests of people in power, at your expense.

The moderates of the Alliance for the Protection of the Theater express their deep indignation and revolt against today's criminal proceedings by the Tirana Local Police Directorate against our activist and friend, lawyer Adriana Kalaja, who has been and remains one of the bravest voices against any mafia act to the detriment of democracy in Albania and to the detriment of every Albanian citizen.

If Adriana Kalaja is accused of inciting violence, verbally, we remind the State Police that she was the first to systematically prevent municipal councilors from entering the municipality in every protest to exercise their duties.

It was first its officers lined up threateningly, who usurped the entrances to the building, which belongs to the solution of the people's problems, thereby fortifying the municipality of Tirana as a fortress of theft, punishment of citizens and murder of the historical memory of the city.

Before these law enforcers criminally prosecute ordinary citizens, citizens with a high social conscience, who fight for the common good, let them find the persons in their ranks without identification numbers, who diligently issue them to vulnerable citizens, as sometimes it is about protecting the most serious crimes of the government against the people.

In three days, the fourth horrible anniversary of the destruction of the National Theater arrives and the police still haven't found their effectives without identification numbers, who swarmed like a swarm of beetles on the defenseless defenders of the Theater and took them out barbarically, pointing guns at them.

We also remind the State Police of undocumented civilian individuals who kidnap protesters, against whom no action is taken.

Lawyer Adriana Kalaja herself went through such a situation in 2019, when a group of civilian policemen tried to kidnap her like bandits. Only thanks to the immediate reaction of other AMT members, the bandit gesture failed.

On what legal basis does the State Police carry out these and many other similar actions, every day of the year?

Maybe these acts seem noble? Do they seem to be raising her dignity?

Defending the indefensible: the thieving, the masquerade, the inhumanity, that the Blue Renaissance clique has raised there, where we had never seen it before?

If the police officers did not come armed, as if they are fighting the enemies of the nation, the citizens would undoubtedly be more peaceful.

The surrounding with fences and shields is nothing but a provocation against those who demand their legal rights and shows the positioning of the police on the side of evil, on the side of the mafia, which is emptying the country.

We call on the State Police to decriminalize its conscience and put an end to this ugly defense as soon as possible, which is committing such cruel crimes on the lives of Albanian citizens./ CNA
