February 28th Protest/ Zhulali: The opposition aims to break the

The Head of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Democratic Party, Ilda Zhulali, spoke today about the strategy and purpose of the opposition protests. In a television appearance, Zhulali said that the mission of the protests and the opposition is to save Albanians from this government.

During her speech, Zhulali also described Prime Minister Edi Rama's helicopter trip to Korça as "mockery and arrogance."

"We protest for the urgent departure of this government, its resignation, a transitional government and free elections. I appeal to all Albanian citizens to come to the square from all over the country on February 28 to overthrow the government. We must demand the urgent departure of the government. The opposition is determined and convinced to stand at the forefront of the protests, the aim is great unity and awareness. While the southeast was completely blocked, the country's prime minister travels by helicopter, mocking and arrogantly saying 'I'm going to the new pole of knowledge'! Which pole? Of Albania split in two as a result of the roads. We aim to break the arrogance of the government and force is not the aim. We demand awareness and not chaos. Albania is under the rule of an autocracy, with a facade pretending to be a democracy", continued Zhulali.

Among other things, she stated that another fact-finding mission from the European People's Parties will arrive in Tirana tomorrow.

"Tomorrow, another fact-finding mission from the People's Parties will arrive, which will prepare draft resolutions and decisions, which will be taken by the European Parliament and up to the Commission. There are 7 resolutions so far ," said Zhulali. /CNA
