The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, has gone to the field to inspect the situation from the heavy rains that have caused flooding in many parts of Albania.

The Minister clarified that three evacuations have been made in Malesia e Madhe while adding that in Bërdica the armed forces are helping the residents but there was no need for evacuation.

"We had three evacuations in Malësi e Madhe. In Bërdica, the armed forces help the residents to cross. There is no water in the apartments. We are on standby throughout Albania. These rains, on the one hand, give us good news for filling reserves, but there is also the challenge of dealing with them," said Peleshi./ CNA.al
