GJKKO ka shtyrë seancën për ish-kryeministrin Sali Ber...

GJKKO has postponed the hearing for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
The defense lawyers asked for time to familiarize themselves with the acts and the next session will take place on May 20.
In relation to this decision, there was also a statement from Sali Berisha's lawyer, Genc Gjokutaj, who said that they have asked Irena Gjoka to resign from the case and then they will ask for her dismissal.
He said that they do not expect anything other than a unilateral decision against Irena Gjoka.
"The session was postponed for some additional documents that we have not seen. We asked for the resignation of Irena Gjoka. We asked Irena Gjoka to give up judging the case, but she did not speak. Our part is the part of the defense. This is a very flagrant case is not only about the judge in question, but this judge will give the decision after consulting her. We expect one-sidedness from her. If Irena Gjoka resigns, we will request her dismissal." said the lawyer.
Sali Berisha and his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, are under "house arrest" for the accusations of privatizing the "Partizani" complex. /CNA
