Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço has spoken about the mega-operation and arrests carried out by SPAK, of known exponents of the world of crime.

In an exclusive statement for CNA , Karamuço said that the arrests are aimed at the detention of two former high-ranking Police officials with leadership positions in several districts and special departments.

Karamuço said that one of them, starting from 2010 until before 2020, was helped to promote his career by a former deputy prime minister.

Karamuço's appeal is that politics should keep its hands off the State Police

"The arrests that are taking place today have as their object the detention (so far) of two former high-ranking police officials with leadership positions in several districts and special departments.

One of them, over the past years, starting from 2010 until before 2020, when the Sky and Enchro wiretappings were closed, it was found that he was helped to promote his career by a former deputy prime minister.

This fact was declared by me, not to accuse this former deputy prime minister as a collaborator, but to give a clear message about what moral responsibility a politician takes if he interferes in the appointments and promotions of policemen who later enter serious conflicts with the law, as collaborators of criminal organizations. My appeal is: Keep politics away from the State Police," Karamuço told CNA.
