He would be spied on by Meta/ Filip Talo testifies in the prosecution: I

Filip Talo, Ilir Meta's friend, for whom the latter would carry out an interception in cooperation with the State Security, has completed his testimony at the Prosecutor's Office.

"I don't want my family to worry anymore. I gave explanations to the prosecutors," Talo said. 

Talo was asked today about Meta's complaint against the Files Authority.

In June of last year, the Court of Appeal finally forced the Prosecutor's Office to register criminal proceedings against the File Authority, following the report made against this institution by former president Ilir Meta.

Meta reported to this institution on September 6, 2022, after accusations and suspicions that he was a former spy of the State Security. 

Meta explained in the report that he received the certificate of image purity from the two commissions set up in the 90s, as well as from the Files Authority itself in April 2017, which exempts him from the obligation to be verified again. 

In July 2022, after an e-mail request to verify the former president, the Files Authority notified the Assembly that it has come across information and data on the high-profile political figure.

A few weeks ago, CNA TV published another document showing that Ilir Metaj was paid 50 lek by the State Security, for a service rendered to this structure. (read here)

The document shows that Ilir Meta was a paid collaborator of the notorious State Security during the dictatorship.

The secret document, which was declassified a year ago, is dated February 6, 1989 and is a decision to withdraw money from the secret fund for operational interests of the former State Security.

Likewise, CNA published another document, how Meta in cooperation with the State Security would carry out the interception of Ilir Talos in a bar in the area of ??the Artificial Lake in Tirana.

With the 50 leksh he would receive from the State Security, Meta would intercept his friend, who had told him that he would escape abroad. /CNA
