They are accused of forgery of money/ The prosecution wants 27 years in prison

The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has requested 27 years in prison for the 3 defendants with French citizenship, who have been accused of counterfeiting money in our country. 

The prosecutor of the case, Bledar vatnikaj, has requested a sentence of 9 years in prison for the citizens: Jennifer Chollet, Zinedin Nkeh and Zinedin and Jose Ngakam.

The three defendants have accepted the shortened trial and for this they will benefit from 1/3 of the sentence reduction. If they are found guilty, each of them will serve 6 years in prison. 

The foreign nationals have denied the accusations of counterfeiting thousands of counterfeit euros as well as "Lastra" papers, thus claiming innocence. 

According to the information of the prosecutor's office, these citizens in cooperation with each other tried to put into circulation in the Albanian market about 1.2 million euros, banknotes which were seized from the citizen Jose Ngankam./ CNA.al
