The grandfather of the 17-year-old who lost his life in the early hours of this morning in Vlora has spoken to the media regarding the serious incident.

He stated that after the accident, the boy was taken to the morgue of the Vlora hospital, while for 8 hours no forensic doctor or prosecutor has shown up to carry out the procedures so that the family can receive the body. 

The grandfather said that the son worked as a waiter and was returning from work when the fatal accident occurred.

"Last night at 12 o'clock in the morning, the grandson, the son of the maid, had an accident. And he came to the morgue of the Vlora hospital. We have been waiting for 8 hours, the coroner has not come to help us do her work. There are 30 police officers here and they are not taking measures to bring the coroner and the prosecutor to do the work so that we can take the body. A car killed our son and fled at a speed of 200 km per hour in the city of Vlora and no police patrol has come to stop him. I have not seen my grandson with my own eyes. He is not a criminal. He was coming from work, he worked as a waiter ," the grandfather said. /CNA
