The incinerators/ Why Luli Basha doesn’t talk on them anymore?

The incinerator concession has been one of the most talked about, discussed, and accused against the Rama government. It is about 400 million euros, for 3 incinerators in Elbasan, Fier and Tirana.
In Elbasan, the incinerator was accused that its value was much higher than that of the market, without moving on to other accusations that there were no standards, even though it was approved by a clientelistic procedure, accusations made by the media and the opposition.
Then the media revealed the connection of the Elbasan incinerator with that of Fier, Stela Gugalla, Mirel Mërtiri, Klodian Zoton & Co. The Fier incinerator would cost around 28 million euros, and work has not started yet, although Edi Rama said that everything would be ready in December 2020.
Then the Tirana incinerator which cost 128 million euros, adding here the values that companies benefit from the processing of waste, soil and others, and the total value goes to 400 million euros according to figures and charges.
There have been many media outlets, that have reported and accused the schemes and the hundreds of millions of euros that have been stolen from the Albanians’taxes for the incinerator concession.
CNA.al also revealed a strong connection between the incinerators of Fier, Elbasan and Tirana, revealing the shell company in the Netherlands, the scheme of their connection with Top Channel television, Vjollca Hoxha through Lori Caffe, and then Ben Blushi’s partnership with Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri, through his wife of the former politician.
After some time when CNA.al denounced this scandal for about 5 months, it was the Democratic Party that published for almost 1 month the file on its part with denunciations, making public with indisputable facts and evidence. It was said that the blue headquarters had also other shocking documents, which crossed not only the owners of the incinerators but also the politicians of the majority.
At the moment when the last step would be taken, when all the facts and evidence had to be brought to the SPAK, when the files or reports registered in the investigative institution were filled with facts and evidence that had the DP, everything passed in silence.
The documents weren’t taken to the SPAK, and the DP no longer spoke about the incinerators. At that time, official sources in the DP told CNA.al that there would be other documents that would be made public week after week, to put the government “with the shoulders behind the wall”.
But today after 5 months, no one is with the shoulder behind the wall. Apparently, the only person with shoulders behind the wall is Lulzim Basha. The latter has been silent, he is no longer talking about incinerators, he is no longer talking about Klodian Zoto, Mirel Mërtiri, Ben Blushi, Vjollca Hoxha or the television that he accused at that time, about the Albanian tax money that Edi Rama would give clientele of this concession.
But, evil mouths say that Lulzim Basha has benefited millions of euros to stay silent. Someone says that the amount paid is the value of the sale of Lori Caffe shares, so about 2 million euros. But this amount is not yet accurate, as it may be larger or even smaller.
But one fact is indisputable, Basha is silent on incinerators. How much money was paid? Who paid for Lulzim Basha’s silence? This is difficult for the media to reveal. No one will ever know except him and his family./CNA.al
