In the parliamentary elections of April 25, in addition to the historical parties in the race, will also compete new political forces. One of them is Rudina Hajdari’s “Initiatives” party. During an interview on Euronews Albania with journalist Ilva Tare, Hajdari said that the party platform will be presented on November 28, a date that coincides with the 108th anniversary of Albania’s declaration of independence.
Hajdari revealed in the interview the philosophy of her party. She said she would be the center-right party, and would try to get votes from all parties, including the disillusioned electorate. “From the ideological axis it is a center party, and we have tried to understand that in the Albanian context, there is no battle between the right and the left, but there is a battle between being down and up. For this reason, a new political party should be a new movement, where many people see themselves to solve the problem they have”-she said.
She added that not only the DP, but also other old parties are afraid of the new political project of which she is a part. “The new political movement has no owner. It is organized horizontally, and will create a very good team. We are not worried about the left or the right. What we are interested in is the economic situation of Albanians. They are very afraid of us, not only of the DP, but also of the old parties because we have those powers that they don’t have. We have the youth with us”- stressed Hajdari.
