A few months ago, specifically in July, the Democratic Party demanded that wearing a mask on the face should not be mandatory only indoors, but also outdoors. Former PD MP, Tritan Shehu demanded at that time the imposition of the use of masks even in open spaces for all citizens.
This request of the Democratic Party didn’t immediately reach the government, but was delayed for several months. A few days ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that starting from Thursday, October 15, wearing the mask will be mandatory in open spaces. According to the government decision, for those who violate the rule and do not put on the mask, the fine will be 3.000 Lek.
This decision by the government, is a proof that shows that the parties, ie Democratic and Socialist Party communicate with each other and are together. The DP demanded the placement of the masks in July, while the prime minister, albeit a few months late, heard the request of his political opponents.
On the other hand, we remind that since the agreement of May 17, 2017, there have been many cases that have shown cooperation between the leader of the “Renaissance”, and that of the “New Republic”. Moreover, regarding the decision to make the mask compulsory, Lulzim Basha himself didn’t have any position against it, but only says that the government should find the means to buy them./ CNA.al
