Letter from a Democrat/ What the DP should do to overthrow Rama

7 Korrik 2020, 07:35, English CNA

As a lover of right-wing ideas, a DP sympathizer. Today i am finally convinced that the right has totally lost its mission, its vision. Why? Today in the civilized world, development has come because mass movements have produced hope. Hope based on a system that is good for every citizen, regardless his beliefs.

The mass movements have produced systems, honest rules of the game. They have produced a unique system, so that a politician in any field does not have more than two terms in charge.

Not because it may not be good, but experience shows that it starts and mismanages any power given to it.

In this case we all lose. I made this kind of introduction, because today there had to be a new hope. There had to be a different kind of oratory, advanced for the system we are in. I say like any citizen that yes, the government has done both good and very bad things.

But, there is no opposition institution that is the voice mandated by vote, to say what things that are wrong, for the citizen and not for themselves. The opposition today is no longer hopeful. I say this for several reasons, that I believe in my view are correct.

– After the loss of the elections in 2013, the Democratic Party should have undergone a profound reform, in every cell.

– It holds its chairman without free and fair elections. I believe he has no morals to demand free elections. He himself is the most negative example of how elections are held. He stole the municipality of Tirana  by changing the rules of the game, and stole the party with commanded elections.

– DP did not admit the mistakes of its government. At no point did he accept such.

– DP did not accept to change generations after the government.

The DP continues to make opposition with former rulers, who at least hope to be in power again? Dear DP, today you cannot inspirate hope for Luli Basha, Flamur Noka, Edi Paloka, Fatmir Mediu, Dashamir Shehi and a poor retinue coming from behind.

Today dear DP, after so much political experience in the Albanian environment, you are not able to articulate a word that gives birth to hope, because even if you have one, the people who speak it kill hope. The DP also has an ugly copy of the past from the young people it approached.

When I meet them, or listen them from distance, I feel like crying over who is trying to advance the right ideas, the ideas of a European Albania. Today, we all need to be protesting, because we have the right to protest and demand the best for our lives. Today we have to protest for a system many times beter, than the one we are living.

We live in a system where the ruling party is blinded by the power, and the opposition is blinded by poverty in the opposition. Today, as Albanians, we must protest for a better system. There is no need to invent systems. We have plenty of examples.

We have to overthrow the system that you, dear DP, wanted to protect yesterday in poker, and you want to embrace it tomorrow, to overthrow the system, so that the ruling party does not see the power as its property.

Dear DP, today your objectives do not stick to any clear mind. They do not give up hope, that tomorrow will be different. The tales of Luli and Mona, with Fatmir and Nardi, do not stick together. They are not hope for us who work and live in this mess you have made together.

The DP today should not be directed in this form, DP should tomorrow be of ordinary people and not of Luli, Paloka, Flamur, Mona, Duka, Dule, Idrizi. Their time is over.

It should belong to the new generation, but not to the Salianji and Balliu generation. Not to a barren soldiers, but of a new generation, who has ideas and does what it believes is the good of our common people. I love the right as a political current and as a European conviction, which is missing in Albania today.

I have a lot of friends engaged in the Democratic Party who come and ask what to arrange for people to listen to us. What should we do to make people like you embrace us. And today I am making public what they need to do. If they have balls, let send to the trash can those who run today, and I am convinced that many young people will embrace change, starting with me first.

And that the war should not be like yesterday, talk and only talk, but a fight to change the system, a system that no one stays in the party for more than two terms. Let no one be eternal at the party. The circulation of generations and ideal, will bring change and hope.

And by doing well in the opposition, it will inspire hope for a better and a dignified Government for Albanians.

Has the civilized world suffered from this kind of system? Postscript:Something else? as long as the DP is managed so badly, the corruption of the government is taking the soul of the honest Albanian, if the DP is not a party to this kind of corruption. Because with a solid opposition, this government should have fallen several times./Aksel Karamiti-CNA.al
